For me it should be east vs west. Players should be able to choose if they want to represent their birth place ie Sinfield playing for west because he's from Oldham or Wilkin play for east because he's from hull. Alternatively players can choose which side to play for depending on where they made their professional debut, ie Sinfield playing for east because he make his debut at Leeds.
The cumbrian players could play for west side and london based players can play for east.
It'll never happen because the fans would never support it because they only care about their own teams. I support RL and then support st Helen's but I'm probably one of the very few people feel the same.

Might as well just stick with the Exiles game. The fans do have a team to support already.
East vs West will never happen, mainly because no-one gives a cr*p if they're from the East or the West. You've taken the problem of the Exiles not being a team anyone can get behind and substituted it with two teams no-one can get behind. |
