Quote: Saddened! "Picking on form can only go so far however. You can't pick players like McIllorum and Goulding no matter how well they are perceived to be playing, simply because they are not technically that good.
McIllorum's distribution is horrific, he's simply not an international standard hooker. He is doing well at Wigan as he's part of their team and playing very, very simple rugby. You can see how little individual performances count at Wigan as you perform the same irrespective of who plays.
Same with Goulding, flourishing with Wigan because of how they play. But is he actually any good? He's not IMO. If you put him in the Saints team or Leeds team, he'd look rubbish. Again, not up to international standard irrespective of his sterling form for Wigan.'"
Absolue rubbish and I can only conclude you have hardly seen either player play, either that or you are just doing your typical Saints troll. On the rare occasions either player has not played this season we have missed both big time, which was acknowledged by Wane after both games. Both players have been instrumental in Wigan's success this year and certainly not just bit part players like you are trying to imply.
McIlorum has been terriffic and offers a damn sight more in a close, tense match where you dont get a quick play the ball than one trick Roby.
Goulding is technically better than any other English centre and has a very good centres brain, which nearly all of Englands other centres lack, and a great all round centres game.
Its okay though I am sure this will give Roby a chance to fail yet again on the international stage or Cudjoe (a Ryan Atkins light version) a game, which may be important seeing as the Huddersfield fans think he is that out of form that he should be dropped for them
