Quote: PIE&PROUD "People slating Huddersfield really do need to take a step back and look at where they where not all that long ago. Sitting bottom of the league for a few years and everything looked bleak. They should be appluded for the efforts being made both on and off the pitch. Pin pointing the 2500 crowd in the challenge cup which was disappointing but EVERY team suffers from terrible crowds in the cup. Wigan drew 12500 again Saints when usually it would have about 10000 more on for a normal league game. Leeds drew just over 7000 for the game against Wakefield in the cup. You can put your house on there being a damn site more on when they play them in the league. That is the 2 best supported teams in the country taking massive hits on crowds. If the core isnt all that big to start off with (not a dig at Huddersfield as it is on the way up) then something like this is to be expected to an extent and needs something to be sorted, which I have no idea what that could be.
Huddersfield really do remind me of Warrington just a couple of years ago. They are doing good things both on and off the field, like I have mentioned, but just need to go that little bit extra and win some silverware to get "fashionable" and be classed as one of the big clubs which would help boost the attendances even more.'"
Good post but far too reasonable and rational for this place
