Yeah Leeds and Saints weren't invited for the first season when the first top flight was formed in 1902 or 1903 but speedily found their ways there before it was abandoned again shortly thereafter - so they've never been relegated as such.

Think the correct claim to fame for us is that we have never played outside the top flight. I believe that Saints played in a lower division years ago.

The worse I've felt is after a CC semi defeat at Maine Road by Wigan (Lydons long range drop goal). Coming out and realising that no-one could compete with a full time big spending Wigan.
