Marcus Vassilakopoulos was definitely a wasted talent.
Many good judges rated him the best ever junior talent ever to come out of Hull, and they were largely vindicated when he was playing in a Challenge Cup Final for Leeds at just 17.
Within two or three seasons, he was warming the bench for Sheffield Eagles!

Ha ha, another London old boy. He was our leading try-scorer and a pretty decent player. Then Wigan waded in with the cheque book to snap him up and he turned rubbish.

Tim Hartley, looked like a belter when he broke onto the scene at Salford, left went to London and didn't make the grade, moved to Leigh in the end but sadly had his career ended by injury.
