But, having watched the replay, it does look like he deliberatly led with the elbow. No intention to tackle.

Pity Luke didn't do a propper job on his ankle. I wouldn't normally say such a thing but that's abysmal from chase.

He has got that part to his game, it's not something new.

It's pretty clear where the contact is, in slow motion. I think Chase will deservedly be gone for some time, for that.

I may be among the minority. But this is just poor technique. And this is how Rangi often tackles, He comes out of the line with a big shoulder to put shots on, And most of the time. Its fine.

I dont think he has intentionally attacked Ropati with an Elbow/ Forearm. Having watched Rangi over the years, This is how he tackles. Jumps in with a shoulder with his arm stiffened.

Unfortunately, He is likely to get banned, As he has misjudged it, And caused damage. But for me, Should be 2 or 3 games. And a warning on his technique.

Having watched it again, I'd agree with you. Although I'd say 3-4 games rather than 2-3 since it's not the first time he's misjudged a "big hit". I don't think he intentionally hit him high, but if he's going to go in to tackles like that he has to be a lot more careful.
