On 18th March at Peterlee Rugby Club in the North East there will be a unique fundraiser in aid of Mind, the mental health charity. It will be an 'origin' style representative match between Tyne and Wear and County Durham and aims to continue the work done by the game of rugby league to help Mind, carrying on the work done by Super League when they dedicated a round to raising awareness of mental health issues last year.
I am currently arranging an after-match sports auction which it's hoped will increase funds. So far we have signed photos of Michael Vaughan and Freddie Flintoff (courtesy of ISM), a signed Wigan Warriors shirt (courtesy of Wigan), a signed limited-edition caricature of James Roby (courtesy of Saints) and we're awaiting the donations that other Super League clubs have promised.
We could still do with a headline sponsor for the match, which would cost what it takes for two kits. If you know of anyone that would be able to help with that then get in touch via the details below for full details of what you'll get in return.
We also need items that would attract bids for the auction. If you have anything of suitable quality that you think would attract a bid that would raise money for this worthwhile cause then please also get in touch using any of the methods below.
Thanks for your help!
