| Quote NickyKiss="NickyKiss"I really don't think he will and that's were I think he'll change people perceptions of him.
I think somebody raised a good point about Gary Neville and the suprisingly good job he's doing on the football. He's as dedicated one club man as you'd get yet I believe he's giving really good and impartial views on games and I think Tomkins will do the same.
Using ex players is great and they do but using current, top line superleague players is really interesting as well. Hopefully more will follow Tomkins lead......just please not Sinfield though because as much as he's a top player he's not half boring to listen to (serious comment by the way not a fishing trip).'"
I am looking forward to getting the insight of a current professional and quite happy its Tomkins. What I can't agree with you is on is the Gary Neville bit as he has come out with some rubbish and everything is 'Man Utd this and we did it better'. Can only assume your a MAn Utd fan.
Back on topic, looking forward to hearing Mr Tomkins speak about the game.

| Just using Sam Tomkins isn't right in my opinion. If they used a few different current players then it would make sense. There are many intelligent and well spoken players in the game at the moment and it would be interesting to get some different viewpoints.
He's an exciting talent but he's not the only one. He's intelligent and well spoken, but so are many other current players.
It should be several current players being used or none at all.

Sadly I'm one of few people in Wigan that support the football team as well as the rugby. I say sadly but then I'm proud that I support my local teams which isn't always the norm in football.
TBH the Neville comments are based more on what I'm told by friends rather then what little I've seen. I've got mates who support Liverpool and City and they've been suprised how un-biased he's been.

Sam explains his role in the Sky spot. It's not really as a pundit more of an interviewer discussion a famous maybe controversial try as part of Brian Carneys Supeleague Supermae slot.

| I thought the adverts were cringeworthy, but I think that about a lot of Sky's presentation.
It makes perfect sense though, if part of the 'package' that kept Sam in the game was attempting to ensure that he receives as much personal media promotion as he might get in the other code. Unfortunately, there just aren't many TV openings for that kind of publicity in RL (I've seen Andy Farrell on telly more often since he went to union than when he was at Wigan, just because he's usually in the background for Saracens and England RU reports on the BBC sport) and, essentially, Sky is the only national option (that's not on at 3.15am everywhere but the North).
