My first choice 13 for us next year, it should be able to compete against the majority of sides.

Whiting is not, never has been or ever will be a winger. With an experienced centre and a bit of coaching Will Sharp will still make a very good winger.

I agree about Richard Whiting but Will Sharp is not ready to start the season as our first-choice winger. I also believe that he can become a very good winger but at the minute, it would be Richard Whiting starting for me.

With the likes of Amos Roberts, Chris Tuson, Marsh, Dudson, Flower (both TBC) etc as backup. Good 17 (decent apart from the sieve of right side defence), but our depth is getting worse and worse.

4 big forwards on the bench, no interchange hooker, is there no young hooker coming through the ranks.

I'm happy with how Wakefield are shaping up. Not expecting great things, just improvement.
Unfortunate that Morrison won't be playing. Likely to be another addition yet.

Yeah we have a few, Carberry and Logan Tomkins along with Joe Mellor at half back. I suspect we'll see Farrell coming on for Mickey Mac, with Leuluai pushing up to hooker, Lockers taking the half-back role and Farrell doing loose forward (his best position IMHO).

We desperately need a new half back/centre though IMO. Even a veteran for 1-2 years to allow the lads to spell.

From what I saw of Mellor in the Championship playing for widnes last year he is nowhere near ready to be a SL stand off, at least not 1st choice. He would do ok i'm sure as he has loads of fantastic players around him and a monster pack to play off, but last year he looked average in the championship and didn't seem capable of breaking down a defence, putting people through gaps, or even much of a kicking game. I had heard big things about him from wiganers so really watched him when he went out to Widnes on Duel Reg, and I was very underwhelmed by his performances.

You think the fans were happy about that? Fortunately the muppets responsible are no longer with the club.
