Great idea, sure if you got a smallish pub onside they'd jump at you bringing 10-20 extra punters through the doors any night of the week. I don't live in London but have go down there often for work, would be great to get with like minded individuals when around. You'd get plenty other RL fans in London one-off joining you as well- even if its just for guaranteed Rugby on the TVs.

I've got a few mates who are RL fans who say if they are working over in London it annoys them that they can't watch RL anywhere in pubs.

never had problems watching rl when working in london, both at the black horse in ilford and especially at the maypole in barkingside.. they even used to put rl on the big screen for me on fri disco nights, but the sound was turned off at half time lol so as not to upset the locals who were dancing

Like I said, it was my mates who said they had struggled. Don't know whereabouts they have been when they have stayed in London.

A good landlord will put it on BUT i once went in to a pub who when i asked said yeah no problem, there i am with a pint watching Phil Clarke talk ballcocks 5 minutes before kickoff feeling chuffed, the game kicks off then all of a sudden the blue Sky channel bar appears at the bottom, the channel changes and now i'm watching Charlton Athletic, i turn round to the bar and ask if they could change it back to which i get, no, the lads over there want the football on. So me being annoyed ask for my money back for a pint i'm taken 2 sips from because i'm going elsewhere, the reply is a robust no i ask for the landlord, he comes down, i ask for a refund and explain the reasons i bought the pint and the circumstances for buying it, he says no, i call him a very rude word and now i'm banned from that pub.
