And yet still a winner. Leeds are really settling in to the big game bottlers tag well .

| The guy's a shadow of the player he used to be. But if Leeds did get rid, what other full backs are out there at the mo. Hkr are struggling to find a replacement for Briscoe at mo, not alot of quality out there spare at the moment.

| Then you take him off the wing where he's been playing the majority of the season. I understand that he is the perfect choice to be the next full back, but if they were to bring in a player, who out there is there to choose from??

I think Jones-Bishop will be Leeds next full back with Hardaker taking his place on the wing. He's seemed pretty good at returning the ball from kicks and his speed when chiming into the line could be a very useful asset.
I agree with your point though, there aren't really many going spare, especially British ones.

Sinfield had a decent game, as did Burrow, Watkins, Jones-Bishop and Peacock. But McDermott is clearly having some sort of bizarre reverse effect on his antipodeans. Webb has gone backwards so far he's now behind Michael Platt as a fullback, yet he used to be a really effective attacking weapon. Kylie Leuluai looks less effective than any number of make-up-the-numbers props at lower division clubs, and Buderus is now stealing a wage. Hauraki was almost non-existent. Most of the Leeds Brits did ok, although JJB also chose today to have his worst game in some time that I've seen.
It could have been worse - everyone here was expecting a horrible embarrassment at 16-0 to Wigan. Leeds' old stagers (Sinfield, Burrow, Peacock) at least made a go of it.

You're not entirely wrong - age is definately catching up with Webb and Leulaui.
Buderus was poor by his standards yesterday but stealing a wage - no chance - he's one of Leeds most consistent players and by far our best defensive player who puts in a huge effort every week.
As for Hauraki - at the start of the season he was simply awful but he's really improved as the season has gone on

| Webb and Lauititi have gone so far backwards in SL it's untrue. Its been far too easy for them to get in the starting 17 each week, and year on year theyve looked less and less sharp (in Webb's case) and less and less fit (in Lauititi's case). Wasted talent.

Webb has been poor the last few games but earlier in the season was one of our best performers by quite a long way and was our best attacking weapon. He is however at the end of his career and the next year or so is time for him to make way for Jones-Bishop.
Lauitiiti's fitness isnt particularly a problem, his inability to string more than a couple of games together without injury is.
I certainly wouldn't class them as wasted talent though, both were integral to Leeds' recent successes.
