Quote: Newton-Le-willows-Warrior "so with ellis, burgess, morley, westwood all likely to be out england could be looking at a team like

1. Sam Tomkins
2. Josh Charnley
3. Michael Shenton
4. Chris Bridge
5. Ryan Hall
6. Gareth Widdop
7. Danny Brough
8. James Graham
9. James Roby
10. Jamie Peacock
11. Joel Tomkins
12. Chris Heightington
13. Sean O'Loughlin

14. Kevin Sinfield
15. Gareth Carvell
16. Lee Mossop
17. Luke Robinson

Move O'Loughlin into the second row when Sinfield comes on.

Farrell, Wilkin and Hock in back up.

Mossop must be in the side as 4th prop he has been immense this season and would stand up big time against the aussies and kiwi packs.'"

I would prefer:

1. Sam Tomkins
2. Josh Charnley
3. Michael Shenton
4. Chris Bridge
5. Ryan Hall
6. Gareth Widdop
7. Danny Brough
8. James Graham
9. James Roby
10. Eorl Crabtree
11. Gareth Hock
12. Ben Westwood
13. Sean O'Loughlin

14. Joel Tomkins
15. Gareth Carvell
16. Lee Mossop
17. Luke Robinson

No Place for Peacock any more in my book unfortunately, too old. Joel on the bench gives us injury cover for the backs as well as a rotation for the 2nd row. Hock can be pushed into the front row if necessary. Westwood should be back for the 4 nations. Crabtree has been coached well in a good side all season and has looked good for England in the past.

Quote: east stander "Good call Dunbar-2 months ago Burgess couldnt get into a poor Leeds team now he is in Sydney he is top draw

2 years ago Quins didnt take the option to sign him post his loan as he was deemed to slow- and thats Quins!'"

Burgess not being picked in the Leeds team had little to do with his form and more to do with the dumbo who picks the team, his form prior to being dropped was excellent and he was without doubt our best forward, and I know him playing better than the other forwards isn't exactly a great achievement given some of our performances but he was actually very good.

This series is probably too soon, but Scott Taylor will be in and around the national squad sooner rather then later.

Joe Westerman is looking better and better too. Hopefully the play offs will showcase him a bit more

Quote: Wigg'n "Obviously bigger than 6ft 3 and 15st. Hahahah. I assume that the laugh and the stupid little icon are for my benefit for saying that Tomkins doesn’t have the size for international rugby?

Tompkins may be 6’3” and 15 stone but for me he doesn’t have the physical presence to be a top quality international forward. If he has the size then he doesn’t run his weight well enough and I fear that after a season in the centres that will be even more the case

He is a good player though and may well have found his home in the centres where I believe he could be the English version of Shaun Kenny-Dowall as a very rangy strong centre
