If (as looks likely) the Crusaders don't carry on in the Championship next year, will they even bother to finish this season? I wonder if a factor in this is the continuing shennanigans with the soccer club and the doubts over the future of the Racecourse? Either way it looks like the beginning of the end for RL in Wales. Perhaps I'd better move to Yorkshire.

Maybe Richard Lewis was hoping people would nod off with his rambling at the begining. Success this, achieving that. Yep clearly a succes, one team that chooses to withdraw its app because its not financially viable, 2 teams going bust during the season, Quinns on their and getting by with RFL help. Wakefield were promoted on the promise of a new stadium were they not? And how long ago was that, 13 years ago? They should count themselves lucky as once the Crusaders withdrew it should have then gone onto the remaining C grade clubs.

What more evidence do you need. A welsh club has never done more than one season in top flight without going to the wall. with the exception of a handful of loyal supporters, generally the welsh are not interested in rugby league. It isn't going to work in Wales, experiment failed. |
