There is a massive difference between a positive thread and the crap that is being spouted on here.

BTW.....the NRL board is missing only 1 poster.....you and it is a much more "positive" place now that you don't start 15 threads a day with links to the SMH or with some fantastical claim of world dominance.

It's all well and good saying that you think PNG should be in the NRL, but it's another matter when you act like a spoilt brat when anyone points out the failings in your argument.

It's an NRL debate.....it should be on the NRL boards, but becuase you get shown up there you have decided to polute the VT.

Expansion may have to wait until the very real threat of afl is fought off in the West, there's to many fans who may switch with Penrith and Parramatta having bad seasons.

A bit like gold coast and Melbourne fans this season.

as ive said before ill repeat

appetitie for expansion will improve markedly for the nrl as the next 2 TV deals will see massive increases

right now the NRL is strapped for funds

when we have loads of money then the idea of a PNG team improves markedly

espeically if the PNG government support the bid as promised

today is has no chance but in the future has as much chance as a 2nd NZ team

ultimately the NRL will be a competition of 22 - 24 teams , maybe of 2 groups

the salary cap will be $10 - $15 million

and PNG have an excellent chance of being in that given their love of the sport
