Look, they went into Administration, they've (until this season) pulled bad crowds, they play in a bad stadium, with a Bus Shelter, a Hotel and a Terrace, and they've finished 8th, 5th, 10th and are so far 13th this year.
On the Plus side, they've got reasonable crowds this year, they've got a good young squad, they've won 6 games this year, new chairman, more money, potentially improved stadium (not by much, but enough).
I would say it's not dead on, but it's 85% certain Wakefield are the bye-bye team.
Wigan, Warrington, Leeds, Bradford, Hull - get too big crowds to be kicked out
Saints, Salford, Castleford - Have new stadiums (apparently)
Huddersfield - have a good enough stadium, and an improving support.
Harlequins and Crusaders - Expansion clubs, and they do (although Phipps will argue this) add to the game in Wales/London, Youth Development is superb in London, and will get better with Harris as coach at 'saders.
Hull KR - Are a little in trouble, but crowds, which are excellent considering they share the town with another club that has had SL status for a longer period of time, should keep them there, along with an improving Craven Park
Catalans - unbelievable success, despite two bottom finishes in 5 years, 5th in table, attracting excellent crowds in France, also I think Players/Fans have taken to them being their.
Wakey have a chance, albeit a small one, but I just can't see them staying.

| Wakefield have been given an A grade for both community work and academy. So although I still think we will be kicked out it might not be the forgone conclusion that everyone thinks.

So, in answer to my question, I take it you haven't actually seen Wakefields application but it is just your opinion?

Link me to their application, and I'll happily read it and come to the same conclusion.
