Because if the top club in the country wouldn't play them because they wasn't up to standard, why should they play at a higher level for England?

| I like Foster, handy finisher and a fantastic goalkicker - the latter attribute maybe less relevant depending on who else is picked (personally, Sinfield for England? Not for me) but there again his success rate must surely be one of the best? I've seen Foster score some great tries and although I don't see him play every week he seems very dependable in all aspects of his game for this stage in his SL career. Took his chance and secured his spot in a Saints side that has some very promising young players. His Twitter is also pretty damn funny to follow
Is he that far behind the likes of Briscoe and Hall? England wingers seem to be on the whole dependable but lacking flair - though maybe we need higher quality or at least more familiar centre pairings (for example - Yeaman-Briscoe looks pretty nice for Hull this season, regardless of results)
As for Lomax - I'm surprised if he wasn't in the frame but give him time. FWIW I think England's half-back pairing on Friday would have benefited from having him in the team.
It goes to show that we do have some halves and backs to choose from - but we're missing an Inglis!

Wigan are currently the top club in the country. When did Warrington reject the opportunity to Sign both Foster and Lomax then? I don't remember this.

You are so good Benji wouldn't get in your side. Greg Inglis wouldn't stand a chance. So why should they play for NZ and Aus?

They didn't.
It's because they are at a 2nd rate club like St Helens that they get a regular game and look half-decent. If they were at a top club like Wire they probably wouldn't get a game.

It's great how these dire fans come out of the woodwork. Welcome to the party, let's see if you're still in it in a couple of years with your ageing squad. Tell us of the youngsters you have bursting through into the first team that could challenge either Lomax or Foster.

| I don't understand the euphoria with Jamie Foster. He kicks goals and has a daft haircut - that's the only thing that separates him from the rest of the wingers in Super League. Josh Charnley is a far more exciting prospect, but you don't want him playing for England - he plays for Wigan.

| On form this season Foster has been far better than both Briscoe (who tbf had a good game Friday) and Ryan Hall who has done little in 2 seasons (and I rate him highly) so really should have got the nod, he's young and confident and would have been a great attitude to have around the camp IMO.
As for Lomax, well you ask who is the form British number 6 and it would have been between him and Kevin Brown simple as that (Briers was never getting a look in if were being honest).
