yep halifax have a lot more going for them....they are hoping to avoid relegation for on field failure, not due to some ridiculous decision by the RFL

Settle down lad we know Belle Vue has seen better days our new stadium has been called in but hopefully it will come back as a yes then its fully funded all systems go. As for everthing else our community team is top class good youth set up good business potential within the City of Wakefield and most importantly a new chairman who knows what he is doing. | An interesting take on Widnes's performance and their overall position from a batley fan after yesterdays match
Quote Jim Bergerac ,A number of the Widnes players will certainly be on big money. Former SL regulars like Gardner and Heckenberg will not come cheap, and guys like Thackeray and Ropati (who, incidentally, is robbing a living on the basis of his family name) will also command big wage packets.
To be quite honest though, I'm seriously concerned about their prospects for the rest of this season, as the side we faced today looked seriously dispirited and demoralised, and showed no character whatsoever. I'd say that around 90% of the side that took the field at our place today have already been given the nod that they won't be given contracts for next season, and subsequently they'll be mentally going through the motions and picking up guaranteed money for the rest of 2011.
We actually had the weakest team that I've seen us field in several seasons today (thanks to injuries), and we still wiped the floor with an experienced Widnes side. That in itself should say something about the spirit in the Widnes ranks at the moment.'" |

I'm just glad I took Batley +6 on the coupon. Widnes are worth opposing most weeks at the moment. You'd think players going out of contract would want to make themselves look good in the shop window?

A totally weird situation though , normally only clubs going down have players in this situation , this is the first time its happened the other way , they seem to start ok , but as soon as pressure is applied they seem to crumble , be interesting to see how they cope with Fax on thursday ? , as from yesterdays performance , they are close to getting things back on track
I'll be taking Fax to win a close game |

Chill, Widnes IMO deservedly got a place in SL next season. If its at the expense of us its hardly thier fault is it.
Its either the RFL's or our own (depending on your viewpoint)

I'm sorry, but you really do not have any sort of point at all. You just sound a little pathetic and desperate. Your clubs’ future was ruined by it's previous board, in exactly the same way as ours was last time.
If you want to point the finger of blame there are other, more worthy, areas to point at than Widnes. |
