At least he is starting to take the line on now. He's best when he starts to run accross field and ask questions of the defence.

dogs awful start to the 2nd half let the tigers back

bit of luck with what looked like a knock on coming off the dogs players head

tolman impressed me

benji after full time admitted their game plan was to kick chase and play conservative which is crazy for a side like the tigers

ive been saying dogs will be top 6 before

theyve still got a lot of improvment in them

take out the stupid penalties and dropped ball and they can be a real force

Its not a knock on if it touches a players head. Only of it comes off any part of the arms ie. shoulders down to hands.

I agree we have heaps to work on and I am slightly worried that we struggled to create anything but at the same time we did go about 50 minutes without getting anywhere near the Tiges line,

Nah, it's not a knock on if it comes off the head. Only if it comes off any part of the arms... ie. Shoulders down to fingers.

I agree though we have heaps to work on. We didnt really create anything as such and spent 50 minutes in our own half. The 2 break aways were good though. On a negative I hope Morris isnt out too long because he looked very sharp tonight.

Tolman and Kass were awesome up front and the only player who got close in Wests pack was Ellis IMO.

Still, defensively we were sound apart from a few pieces of Benji brilliance and there was a lot to be encouraged about as a Doggies fan icon_smile.gif

Aiden Tolman - 20 hitups (179m), 43 tackles icon_eek.gif

That's incredible. What a player. I thought so at the Storm, but did wonder over the off-season if he would not look as impressive at another team, like so many other former Storm players do when they leave.

I know it's only Round 1 and he could have a shocker next week, but I can't help but think of Origin. Prop is our most tentative position, we HAVE to get it the selection right. We need at least 4 in the squad, and i'm getting rather sure about...

1. TLL
2. Mannah
3. Tolman
4. ?

I know we don't have the same selectors anymore, but Fulton is "chief advisor" (or something like that) unfortunately and I really don't trust his judgement at all. I think Weyman will be the first picked, but he may not even be the best Dragons prop come Game I (Dan Hunt).

Then there's Snowden (who played well in a very poor side yesterday), Douglas (likewise), Grant and maybe even White again (who topped our metres gained ahead of our two Australian props).

Long way to go, but we just really up against it looking at Scott, Shillo, Civo and Hannant.

chris lawrence looked good today too for the blues

but with gasnier, lyon, pearce, carney, hayne, uate and duggan locking in spots doesnt leave many spare ....

id go hayne at fullback, gasnier and lyon in the centres, duggan and uate on the wing, and pearce carney in the havles
