so phipps if you or your partner were been racially abused you'd just go to the police me thinks not you would defend yourself or your partner for that fact and that is fact

Can't speak for others on here, but personally, the person who abused me or my wife racially would have had trouble crawling to the police, never mind actually speaking. It is easy for peole to say "he should just walk away', but why should he?

Yes, it's unfortunate that he is the face of the NRL, but the fact that someone felt it was OK to racially abuse him and his partner is more disturbing. As for curfews.....WTF? These guys put their bodies on the line for our entertainment...they should be able to go out and enjoy themselves without some nomark starting trouble. I personally hope Benji gets off on the grounds of provocation and the idiot who started it gets fined.

Nothing thats been said on here so far has gone into the realms of unacceptability but as he has been charged and until I find out more i'll lock it for now. It will be re-opened when the time is right though but until then theres no discussion on the matter.
