Starbug, Brenio is saying they would miss out on a SL match BUT they would play their WCC match at MM. They could then make up their match in hand later in the season.

So the SL Champions get a ' bye ' but the rest don't ?

A league with an uneven number of teams is played on a round robin basis, same as with leagues with an even number of teams.
Only difference is that on any given weekend, ONE team gets a SINGLE rest weekend when the other teams are playing.

ALL the other clubs already have two games against everybody else plus the MM game , it doesn't work

They would play against the OTHER WCC top team at MM and complete the remainder of the fixture list during the season.

So they would play .... same as every year .... EVERYONE eventually.

Yes, one team plays a game more than everyone else. Whichever SL team plays in the WCC match.

ONE extra match for the best team in SL. Big deal! They get the extra revenue and they just rotate their players a bit more during the course of the season.

No you don't , the team that plays the WCC gets one game less , or whoever they play as the ' extra ' game gets one game more
