When Wire are losing how often do we see Briers go off 'injured' he does it time and time again. Mind you they would have no one to put on in his place seeing as they have so many injured players today.

they have been fairly poor, but they have been struggling with players going off and having to cover different positions.

I would also say that Hudds have set their stall out to hit the season at full pace, played more friendlies than most other teams and look fully fit and prepared. Other teams know its a marathon, not a sprint.

Wire have suffered more injuries in this match than they did in the whole of last season.

The early season may therefore give a good idea of their mental toughness and playing strength. Despte losing they did show a lot of character in this match.

Hudds as i expected are a really tough outfit to defeat this year.
Wire meanwhile continued on from last year in that they again showed an inability to defeat other quality sides.
They have yet to shrug off the tag of flat track bullies IMO.

It will show a thing or two to their smug fans. They were convinced the lack of injuries was Tony Smith's doing because he's so wonderful. It's just 100% luck as today shows.

They are also not as wonderful on the field either as they like to think. They cannot be written off so soon, but I bet the few with 'Wires unbeaten 2011' schedules in their sigs on here will think again.
