Well to an extent we are halfway there, the difference is that the ground when it eventually gets built will be owned by the Wakefield Sports Council and not by the council unlike FC. And you never know the RFL unlikely as it sounds might have us in line to take over a more successful club but less in stature than ourselves thus giving us a quick return to SL

All things considered then, we havent done too badly beating FC on a fairly regular basis of late with a crap team, despite not having the finances to spend up to the full cap unlike yourselves

happy that we might stay in super league = yes,what fan doesnt want their team to be in the top flight.

imo its very sad that the franchise system is already turning club against club,some people will say its only cas or wakey but to us its the same as if it were wigan or saints or hull or hull kr to face the chop.

brayton you are spot on. In the pre-franchise days I would have gladly donated a tenner to keep Wakey afloat but as a Cas fan doing that today would be like a turkey voting for Xmas.
I feel desperately sorry for Wakey, they are in no worse a position than Crusaders but the deck seems stacked against them. Imo its time to return to the days when what mattered was how good your team was at Rugby League.

has a supporter who has seen the highs and lows of promotion and relgation twice i have a fair idea of the difference,id take promotion and relegation every year over the franchise system at least then its performance on the field that is rewarded and not how well your holes flushes or how shiney your seat is.

all clubs should be aloud the dream of playing in the top flight not just those who have nice grounds or isolated locations.we all know the franchise system was made for expansion clubs and that my friend is utter rubbish.

You have misinterpreted what I have said.

By "this", I am referring to going possibly going bust. If, say back in September after the last game of the regular season, news broke of Wakefield only having a month to obtain £0.5m to survive, the RFL would have been able to put in place contingency plans should they be unable to continue in SL, relinquish their license, and have enough time to seek a replacement.


You need to start thinking about reading the post.
I never once mentioned anything about Wakefield's potential on-field performance this season in that quote.
If Wakefield go into administration, they will have points deducted. Do keep up.

You have done, and well done to you. Not sure what that proves, or again why you've brought FC into a conversation about Wakefield, but that's for you to justify not me. It's not exactly been an achievement to beat FC over the last few years to be fair, so I wouldn't be taking too much pride from that! (Even though in the last 5 years you've only beaten us 4 times out of 13 games). We've had a crap team for a few years.



So, I'm not quite sure what it is you've read in my post that has upset you to spit out a load of bile like that, but I suggest you reread my post properly and have a think before attacking someone next time.
