No. The problem is that the council didn't realise that the stadium was only one of a number of criteria by which the applications were judged. |

Of which most were ' subjective ' , unlike a bricks and mortar stadium , which we still havent seen yet at any other club , except of course the one that moved 150 miles to find one  |

The state of the playing facilities was subjective also. However, objective / subjective - it really doesn't matter. The people that scrutinised the franchise applications made their decision based upon the stated criteria, one (and only one) of which was the state of the playing facilities. The decision they reached seems, to most of us, a reasonable one. Forgive me if I've misunderstood you, but you seem to have spent two years thinking that because Leigh had a more modern (and, therefore, subjectively 'better' stadium) they should have been a shoe in. If the decision were based on facilities alone, they may have been. But it wasn't, and they weren't. |

I think the fact that Leigh had a new stadium but it was specifically excluded from the assessment is what confuses most people. Wheras other applications seemed to have been judged on what might be. A strange and dare I say unfair application of the franchising criteria, I'm sure you'll agree. |
