I am no expert on such matters but as far as I am aware going into administration does not allow Crusaders to just write off their debts and start again with a clean slate. As I understand it administration allows an insolvent business to carry on trading in the hope the situation will improve in order that it can in due course pay off its debts and it is the administrator's foremost duty to safeguard the interests of the creditors not the supporters or the RL. Therefore unless someone comes in with an offer to buy the club and pay off its debts in one fell swoop the administrator's priority will be selling off players and replacing those on big salaries with more affordable ones in order to raise money to pay back the creditors (which incidentally includes all of us who are taxpayers). Under such circumstances its difficult to see Crusaders fielding a competetive team and being much of an asset to SL over the next few seasons without an extremely wealthy Sugar Daddy or consortium who are prepared to bankroll the debts.

Yes that is what the RL want, but other than Catalans the Crusaders and to an extent Harlequins are hardly blueprints for advocating letting more expansion teams in at the expense of heartlands clubs.

If Sky are so keen to dictate such clubs stay in, then they should increase the TV moneys so that we can move to a 15 team league with everyone still getting the same share of the pot
