Quote: Kelvin's Ferret "I thought the drunks dressed as soldiers were Hull KR fans from the markings some of them had painted on (they were getting pretty rowdy outside Lime before the game), but my Dad was speaking to their coach driver (used to work together), he said he'd picked them up in Leyland, apparently they were a rugby team who'd played a game earlier in the day and were having a lads day out. Don't know if that makes sense to anyone?'"
I may have to hold my hand up here, apologise to any KR fans who took offence and admit it seems I was wrong. Assuming there was only one gang of lads in army gear, it turns out it was players from Leyland Warriors.
Like many others, I saw them up close in Lime bar before and after the game and from their markings got the impression they were Hull KR fans, I was also told they were by others who spoke to a couple of them. However, one of my team recognised them and told me who they were yesterday, certainly fits in with KF's statement above.
Wonder if they know just how much bother one or two of their lads have caused by being too fcked to realise there's a minute's silence going on, and then arguing about it.
