Fax have a great 17 but barrow had too good an overall squad to be in the salary cap. Don't believe for a minute that they adhered to the cap. Never ever ever. Glad they didn't make the final. shows you cant buy success by cheating. Want featherstone to win but both teams are good Championship sides who deserve the chance! |

The stand's made of concrete (not an enormously inflammable substance in my experience), Valley Parade's wasn't. As it was apparently only a piece of cardboard it strikes me as a gross over-reaction to something that could have been solved with a bucket of water!

Judging from the amount of smoke emerging from the stand it was considerably more than just a piece of cardboard alight. The stewards & police acted perfectly correctly (as did the supporters who had to evacuate the stand). The safety of the public has to be the primary concern in these circumstances. |

That, and I think all the toilets and catering would have shut down when the alarm was sounded. Hygenically it wouldn't be the smartest move keeping supporters in there.
