Every team in the championship would get smashed by any team in SL give an even playing field in which both teams played to their potential. Its not rocket science, you think that Barrow team would get anything other than a couple of lucky points in SL then you know very little about the sport at that level.

With regards to the whole SL application process, If you have a problem with it mail the RFL, Widnes RLFC could not give a sh*t. People forget that we are operating at a much smaller cap than we should be because most clubs at this level could not compete with our revenue. How about this, We go back to P&R but the salary cap is scrapped in its current form and we allow all clubs to spend 40% only of their income on Players each year? We would that league season after season. Then what would you be complaining about? its not fair Widnes have more money? More fans? Better sponsors? better corporate facilities?.

If you are going to argue at least make some bleeding Valid points, or how about come up with a better idea. It says something about some people on here as supporters where they take that Barrow performance and see it only as a stick to beat another club with. Your no supporter's, Im just glad you hail from barrow, let you be there problem.

With regards to on the field performance. Widnes have reached the play off's every year. Appeared in both finals and won one of them in the divisions cup competition. We managed this while running squads at every level possible, with all the expense involved in that and competed at every level to a very good standard. This year we have been dealt some very bad blows, Cullen's tragic loss being the biggest. We also lost our scrum half mid way through the season and have had a major injury crisis, the worst i have ever seen in my time watching the club. Its only through our strength in depth that we have managed as well as we have.

We are operating at a profit with a very professional set up taking us forward, We have Facilities other clubs would love to be playing in and we have potential to take it to the next level.

Now would you mind explaining to me what is so bleeding hard for some of you idiots to understand. I want P&R, but i dont see why my club should have to spend Pittance because teams like Barrow could not compete on an even level should the clubs true strength be required to pay for that team. So why dont you toddle off back to what ever hole you crawled out of, and Enjoy ing against that wall on matchdays. I will be happy watching my Teams Home and away, at multiple levels on different days and doing me proud always while wearing my clubs colours.

What really upsets you is that deep down you know your club will never cut it. A couple of flash in the pan years of success is all you have in you. Enjoy them. And dont forget to thank Oldham for all those players, you owe them one.
