| Two things being said a lot on this thread are "meaningless" and "friendly".
Do we actually play international friendlies in RL? I thought this game was actually classed as a Test Match. I'm not sure I can remember any full international RL game actually being called a friendly (by anyone other than RL Fans). In football, a friendly seems to be any game not part of a tournament (or qualification) - so has that mentality come to RL fans, now seeing a stand alone Test Match as meaningless as it's not part of a wider competition. I wonder if RU fans consider their regular autumn internationals as meaningless friendlies.
On to "meaningless" - what gives a game meaning? Serious question. This game is our equivalent of the Anzac Test they play down under, so should the England v France test be branded in some way and given a named cup to play for? Would that make it meaningful? Is it just the (perceived lack of) quality of the opposition that makes things meaningless?
On the transport issue, I'm going to the game later and have just checked out the public transport times. I live less than 10 miles from LSV (as the crow flies - 15 by road) but I can get to Leeds by public transport than Leigh. That's more a dig at the state of public transport than the town of Leigh.

The Rugby Football League are in the process of reviewing the video that you are referring to. We do not condone behaviour of this nature and have contacted the player’s employer, Hull F.C., who have confirmed that they are dealing with the incident under their club rules.

| When his playing careers over Jamie Peacock will be remembered by many as a legend in the game, one of the most decorated players of all time.
Fair enough he's not the most eloquent and probably won't retire to a presenters job on sky but until he's attacked women, being caught with drugs, taken part in gang bangs or racially abused other professionals he's alright by me.

is that so he could walk out on his contract, prick about in France then return to nz on the underbill of another egomaniac toss pot and then fight against random bums?
Or peek in his mid 20's, be involved in one the most embarrasing season for Sydney city then asked to leave, look around in japan try to, and failing, to gain a contract in a league that has one of the lowest standards of pro rugby in the world. Returning to the Nrl only to find interest off one club who'll only offer him a one year deal in a state he hates and are now having a truely horrible season despite having the worlds top player.
Or could he be fully committed to rugby league captaining his country having won the last 3 super league with his home town club.
Yeah I bet he's gutted his boxing lessons didn't work out.

Ahhhhhhh
'Egomanic toss pot'
You like Choc Mundane too huh
Regarding Jamie Peacock I really meant he could do with learning how to fight because he keeps getting bashed by Aussies in test matches/World Club challenges etc etc
Maybe thats why he sounds like he does, I have no idea

| I used to like mundine, boxings all about confidence.
But holding a press confrence when the rest of the world has a minute silence for lifes lost at war means his a of the highest order.
