I have just read the reports on the barla under 19 tour of South africa and i would like to take this opportunity to icon_surprised.gif : congratulate them.on pulling off a wonderful 100% winning tour. reading between the lines i suspect that the south africans played their strongest players in the last two games, and for our boys to beat their open age is no mean feat, and it wouldnt surprise me if those dirty dutchmen didnt use underhand tactics too, well done lads and well done to the back ground staff and garry schofield on pulling off what must be a memorable tour good show once again BARLA

The second last game was against the SA Presidents XIII side, the second string Rhinos side and the final game was against the SA U-21's

The first three games were against High school sides and developing sides

The school sides were just kids, 16,17 and snd a few 18 year olds and the developing side had only been training at league for two months

Well done to BARLA for assisting us in starting off our High school rugby league

hope the high schools have actually got up and running, i heard reports that a south african referee handled the second to last game, and battled to keep the game flowing mainly because of his lack of knowledge of the rules, then on the final game a pom reffed and was constantly faced with ill discipline and back chat from the south africans, so it does appear that the main item on the agenda is to learn the rules properly, and get recognised fit and proper referees, in control of all the domestic games, this would go a long way to south africa going further. and understanding the fundamentals of rugby league
