Didn't you once claim Paul Clough would be a regular International?

Sean O'Loughlin is probably in the top 10 back rowers in the world at the minute. His defence is exceptional and aswell as being a good metre maker he has alot more assists than Burgess or Ellis.

I didn't dispute that the NRL is better. I'm talking backrow in general.

So you agree that its ridiculous to compare stats, for people playing in leagues whch have different standards?
Or do you think that my little brother, is in fact better than ellis and o'loughlin, because his stats, playing for his high school team against average teenagers, are better than their stats, whilst playing against the best pro's in the world?

O'Loughlin gets some stick but he's a quality player that I'd have at Wire anyday.
Best Backrower in the world? no chance, different type of player to Ellis or Burgess who will probably give a team more as an all rounder but he isn't as good as them at what they do

O'Loughlin would get in any SL side and alot of NRL sides though.




Stats are constantly being compared between Nrl & SL as they are the 2 top competitions in the world. The Premier League, La Liga & Serie A all get compared (Messi & Ronaldo when he was at Man Utd) even though the Premiership is probably the best. Even if one league is better it is still the nearest thing for comparison.

I think O'L would get in any team in the world tbh if he went for a price.

Yeah, I'd agree with that.

I think there is alot of people who don't rate O'L for some reason, but he is definitely up there with the best English back rowers for a start.

I wish Ellis played like this at Leeds.
