I promise I'm not stalking you spud, but thought I'd post this on here as well as the aussie site we were discussing this on. Just so others can see it too.
This is an extract I'm typing out from [iA People's Game. The Official History of Rugby League 1895 - 1995[/i by Geoffrey Moorhouse. I can't find it online but it's word for word from his book (Chapter 7The uniform agreed upon was fixed to be Red and White hoop jerseys, black pants, and black stockings, with red band.* So twenty-six pairs of boots were ordered from Mansfield's, at 9s. 6d. per pair; six dozen jerseys from Wills' & Co at 60s. per dozen and from W.Nicholl & Brown three dozen stockings at 25s. per dozen, twenty-six pairs of shoulder pads at 2s. per dozen, twenty-six pairs of drawers at 7s. 6d. per dozen and three dozen pants at 65s. per dozen.

Then on page 108 there is a group photo of the squad and staff, with the players are all dressed in their kit. It is a black and white photo so we can't see the colours. Unfortunately the badge is also unclear, but it looks like it includes two or three components.
