i went to the game im gutted we lost, but even though the game was a bit flat for me as warriors suppourter, ive never seen an atmosphere quite like that all the old school storm players were there lazurus, nikau, bai. there were banners with all kinds of pro storm statements, tv camera filming people coming into the ground doing interviews with fans, seemed like 90% of the crowd were wearing purple, chanting melbourne, melbourne, melbourne... i saw a guy holding up his infant kid high in the air both decked in purple screaming his guts out when they scored! there is a melbourne vs sydney element to this in the minds of melbourne people even media/aussie rules people who never mention rugby league have declared an interest in the storm.
storm cheated tho i feel sorry for them im a bit down the warriors lost but an side would have lost today, i think the storm were under the cap yesterday as well beacuse inglis, macdougall, white and proctor were injured but more likely rested to put them under the salary cap. new zealand kid matt duffie and the english lad widdop both got a run today and played well.
