anyone find it funny that news ltd yes man gallop is now talking the talk and fighting the fight eg; tv deals and expansion?
when for years said did nothing to get league on tv at decent hour outside of nsw,qld,act, northern territory! Now he mention nrl cant get a loan to buy headquaters cause theres nothing in the bank 1/2 goes to news ltd and 1/2 is grants to the clubs! could have mentioned that 5 years ago buddy and startd saving a 1% nowd = a decent amount.

in victoria, s.a, w.a, tasmania you often cant even whatch game on pay tv? and have to wait til midnight for the game on channel 9. i whatch 2009 anzac test live on justintv because no free to air coverage till midnight( with ads your going to be up till 2.30am an if you have to work in morning!!!) and not on pay tv! friday night nrl coverage is the same in victoria!

anyway i wont be believing anything gallop says till he actually does something! i personally think with his new limited masters leaving the game hes been let off the chain from being thier yes man! and his angle is a high ranking well payed spot on new idependant commision. well he better pull off a mega deal, get better coverage to the rest of oz states, as for saving money well they can only start now!

to be fair where he has taken RL since he took over from moffatt, and the idiot ex balmain guy forgot his name is brilliant

its easy to take a sport going well and grow it

he took a sport with major troubles and has turned it around

if the next tv deal is 1 billion hes better than arko / quayle imo

because if you come from sydney, especially western sydney its the end of the earth

as both codes battle for juniors its a brilliant point

the way he talked about michael jennings being a penrith junior, then playing for the penrith nrl club, also playing for nsw in origin and then for australia

jeeze he got AFL 3 times in one sentence

if you are a junior athlete in western sydney why play AFL?
