| Quote Bertie="Bertie"Probably because they gave away 3,000 freebies for both the Harlequin and Bradford game. Speculation on the hull site is because their P&O sponsorship ends at the end of this season and bigger crowds would help pulling in another sponsor.'"
Hull FC did not give any tickets away for the Bradford game. They had an offer with junior amateur clubs to sell tickets for the match at a reduced rate and earn a commission for their clubs for doing it. I would estimate that no more than 400 people took up this offer as it was for the South Stand only, which is already at over 80% of capacity with season ticket holders.

The Quins game at the KC has for the last couple of seasons a game where the Hull Management has given out 3000 free tickets to local schools. That and teh Catalans game are easy ones to do it for as the away end is not used and the free tickets are all for the North end.
There were no free tickets for the Bradford game

The tickets were reduced to £10 for adults and £5 for kids. I think you'll find the same price your lt charge for the south stand every week

| Sorry, but so far this year Hull FC and Warrington have reacted to the visit of Quins with some really clever ideas and promotions. Wire got more for the game v Quins than the game v Bradford or Crusaders. They also did something last year which resulted in Quins being their 3rd best gate after Saints and Wigan. Hull FC have the best marketing team in SL IMO and more clubs should be trying to emulate them.
When you know you are having a badly supported team visit it is up to your club to do something about it....the only time I can recall when the away fans really marketed a game was when Castleford put on a fleet of free coaches to London...a brilliant idea but not financially viable.
Who cares if Hull give away free tickets? They are already paying the stewards, the bar staff etc.....why not maximise pie sales and maybe get some new fans into the bargain?

The Gentleman who is assisting with the marketing at Trinity is a real pro and fully understands the "family" values of the game. Once Trinity have a new stadium I believe they will average around the 10k mark......but they need to start putting bricks on top of each other pretty sharpish.

| Agreed Gutterfax, I've thought all along that Trin has the potential to double their current attendances in a new ground. As far as I know it won't be long before said bricks will be brought down to Newmarket.

You will probably find its those who are envious of our following who seem to be bothered.
As you say, when there is a visiting team which will not bring any more than a mini bus worth why not utilise the facilities.
Hull did the same thing for the quins game at the end of last season. The result was a 15k attendance in our worst season in 10 years.
