You catch more flies with honey. RL die-hards should stop making a ing contest of it and emphasize the differences in the games and players, making the two complementary and not competitive.
The fan bases are around the same, it's just that RL fans in NSW and QLD have a lot further to travel than those in Vic, WA and SA, the regional fans in RL states can't get to games on Friday night, Monday nights, the AFL teams are all in the capitals, they have 1 regional team in Geelong that is about 30 mins away from Melbourne. [iAppreciat ethat but what is the point of fans if they don;t go to games, buy merchandise etc? 15,000 truned up today at Parra for a great game in perfect conditions. What's the pop of Parra and Manly? You telling me you think that is acceptable or a sign of how great our game is compared to AFL?[/i
You can't compare it on crowds, but you can compare it on TV ratings and RL wins. [iJust in a very statistically flawed measurement[/i
Stop running the game down all the time.[i Get your head out the sand![/i
What, all the AFL gear in an AFL state sold out huh, who'd have thought
Quote: JB Down Under "We've never had a problem on the field, our game is the best in the world by a country mile. It's off the field we are 5hithouse!'"
