Not looking like ESPN are showing the NRL.
On there website tv schedule for the weekend of the 13th and 14th March the first weekend of the NRL. There are no NRL games listed.

If all else fails ie nobody gets the rights, the official NRL web site will be streaming the games on the internet. |

Maybe if you could find some nice English person living in Oz who could record all the games to DVD and then post them over, it'd be nice wouldn't it.

Apparently the NRL are still in negotiation 'with a number of parties' for the broadcast rights in the UK and US. Details to be announced 'in the week before the season starts'. I imagine ESPN will want to pick up SOO and the finals. Other than that it will be pay per view via the NRL website, which is pretty awful, even with a fast connection and a decent monitor.

| It's looking doubtful. Had a check of the schedules for week commencing 15 March and there's nothing for 20 or 21 March.
I imagine that they're going to save their money for World Cup tiddlywinks this year. In return, I'll probably save my money by not watching some of the tripe they shovel up. (Why the hell would I want to watch UFC!!!!)

Firstly UFC is pretty cool
Secondly you checked the wrong schedule, season starts 12th March (although I checked the correct week and there is still nothing there)
Still holding out for sky as I don't want to pay another 9 quid p/m on top of the 58 I already pay |

Sorry Pokerface,
Should have explained also checked this weekend too, so that's two weekends without NRL on ESPN.
Rather not have it on Sky. ESPN's coverage was far better as it showed the whole of the Australian telecast rather than inserting stuff from Sky.
Chris Warren was a great presenter on Sky, but I'd rather have the build up from the Australian side.
As for UFC, sorry mate - not convinced.
