| Hi there.
Fairly new to this site so apologies if this idea has already been covered.
The upcoming World Club Challenge.
I'm from Australia but I am currently over here in London. Back home the annual World Club Challenge doesnt raise much interest, which personally I think is a bit of a shame. A one off game always played in the UK in the cold with some of the big name players 'rested'
It would be heaps better (in my opinion) if it was a similar concept to the 1997 superleague series but with the top 4 sides from the NRL playing the top 4 ESL teams (UK one year Australia next year) with the 2 top finishers playing one another in the grand final.
Would you pay to see a tournament between the Dragons, Storm, Dogs and the Titans taking on Leeds, St Helens, Huddersfield and Hull Kingston Rovers?
I would be in that and I reckon it would be good for the sport.

39110_1363272058.jpg Dropkick Murphy..we actually saw and heard a mass of bouncing and scarf and flag waving to Dale Cavese that drowned out anything we could muster.. It stopped us singing our own celebratory songs, it died out seconds later when we accepted we couldn't be heard over the Wigan lot
Celebrations muted from us, job done from them. Most fans who slag them off are jealous their own club's support is nowhere near that good
-
sally cinnamon..Why not discuss Wigan? It's a rugby league message board. Wigan are the most famous brand in rugby league
-
Tre Cool..Saints fans are hopeless unless it's a cup final or grand final. Wigan fans are so much more loyal and passionate
-
the flying biscuit..Wires havent been massively succesful over the years, but I've spoke to Brian Bevan And he spoke to me and i wouldnt swap that for Wigans History, ever
-
Ande..on the TV i could only hear the Wigan fans with about 10 to go
-
Saint94..Every team is in your feckin shadow, we all know

This game should be used to put our sport on the map!

| I'd have the UK league winners (minor premiers) and the grand final winners playing the Aussie GF and Minor Premiers. The grand final winners play the minor premiers and loser out and the winners play each other week after.
On another subject. The people who say we play too many games, lets do what the union boys do and the cricket too in that they have to release the chosen players to the rep sides. We have to have a strong national game. Union draw the watchers purely through media and big names and regular events other than club games. If this is to the detriment of club games then so be it. We found Sam Tomkins through this kind of situation. Who's to say there aren't more Sam Tomkins' behind the scenes waiting for a chance.

Slight problem with that suggestion. Leeds did both last year. What happens then?

| No, the problem with the idea is that you might get two teams from one country playing each other in the final. Just leave it as the best side form each competition. That's what makes it a world championship.
Ideally the NRL and SL grand finals would be the same week and the WCC would be played the week before the Four Nations or whatever is on in the nation that is hosting the international series. So this year the SL GF winner flies to Australia (or NZ) and plays the NRL winner and then the next weekend the Four Nations starts in NZ. Otherwise leave it as it is but at least consider playing it in Australia once in a while. It's only a money spinner at present, which is fine, but it could be a money spinner and be meaningful.
