except he isnt full time......he is only training 2 days a week, and retaining his job at Leeds City Council.
Wonder what Karl Kirkpatrick thinks about this, seeing as though he had to retire because all refs had to be full time. |

We can do 2 things to improve the refereeing:
1 - Replace Stuart Cummings
2 - Introduce a 2nd on-field ref
The game is far too fast for 1 ref to be able to keep the defence onside and monitor the play the ball. They can't be in 2 places at once.

=#8000FFIt was more like a foot "injury" he was beyond poor so Pressley replaced him it was as simple as that, the referees physio didn't move from in front of the radio broadcasters, Jamie Bloem mentioned this as a reason for ruling out an injury serious enough to have a ref replaced. |

Seriously, he really is very poor. I can name at least five other Championship referees who are better qualified than him, IMO at least, to make the step up to SL. Incidentally, the five I could name are cr*p too, its just that they are on a better level of cr*pness than Mr.Child.

Agreed, the 'Fev away match in the NRC still haunts me. He seems to try and let the game flow but quickly loses control of the match and becomes card happy in order to try and calm things down.
I think it great, at least we dont have to deal with him anymore. SL are welcome to him  |

Everyones always got a problem with the referees especially in the Championship. The best I heard was 'we lost by 6 points only because the ref cheated.......'
Let him have his pop and see what he's like.
Top and bottom of it we need two referees. You shouldn't even need a great standard you just need two.
The refs in SL have been a lot, lot better since the introduction of full time but people still swear they're right even after multiple replays on a big screen.
