[quote="gutterfax":2v2cei1t]I like Bazza. He chose the name of a cross dressing Austalian institutions other persona.....and is your typical Aussie w@nker living in London whilst he tries to get some culture by visiting Prague to get pi55ed on Cheap Star, getting a fondle from a dodgy hooker in amsterdam and eating a snail for a bet when in paris. All of these things will make him a cultural icon when his visa runs out and he is sent the way of his great grandparents....alas, not in chains this time.[/quote:2v2cei1t]

| Quote: Barnacle Bill "We're not talking SL here. I would think that a fair number of Crusaders fans would prefer to support a local team, if the Crusaders do move up North.
There's a ready made fan base, development work been carried out in the area for some years and the club will not have financed any of that. I would think that some of the Crusaders reserves/18s squad would sign up. That's a pretty strong start to me.'"
Trouble is......there isn't really a ready made fan base.
If they didnt turn up for a Superleague team why would they bother with an amateur (or should I say ANOTHER amateur) RL club?

The football club is on the brink.

Think it's 3 dual reg signings and a maximum of four total dual reg and loan players at any one time.

Wrexham is the big local derby for Chester City though. If the Chester City fans I know are typical, they're far more likely to be making the trip to Warrington, Saints or Widnes than to ever support a team from Wales.
Chester City won't disappear - the ground is council owned and once they can shake off Stephen Vaughan they'll be able to start afresh.

And the two absolutely despise each other.

| I wasnt necessarily talking direct support, more establishing a profile.
My mates have been out of school a couple of years now so it could have changed but as of 2 or 3 years ago in the various chester schools they attended Rugby League wasnt played, didn't even know it existed.
This a city about 25 miles from heartlands.
They may hate each other in theory but all the wrexham kids go to chester for nights out, wrexham kids often go to school in chester (along with places like frodsham, Helsby and so on, places next to the heartlands with no RL influence), socialise together etc It was just a thought, it didnt need the pedantic brigade
