So who exactly are you ' blaming ' for the situation that the Crusaders find themselves in ?

It's all down to the mind bullets being fired from Northern mining towns, obviously.

Otherwise the good citizens of Bridgend would have flocked (no pun intended) to watch them.

In this case, the blame is with the RFL who have clearly rushed it, not given them a couple more years to develop at a lower level, not made LS give some form of bond or commitment and allowed him to do a runner. (if indeed, that is what has happened). Then plonk them in Wrexham and hope for a miracle.

But it would be exactly the same reaction from some, no matter what the circumstances.

I have always felt that if they were going to expand the game that it should of been in areas like wrexham, growing the game in non rl areas that are around 40 mins or an hour away from strongholds would surely be more likely to succeed with greater away support from opposistion clubs along with greater ease for the fans to travel to away games its either this way for expansion or as said previously more time in the championships to establish themselves

All of which is what most of us ' flatcappers ' suggested would happen

As for any future potential clubs , then yes the issue of a ' bond ' is exactly what I suggested about the Paris reports , far too many times we have seen promises dissapear , If clubs already with reasonabley large support bases are struggling how the hell can anybody expect a new club to get to a break even inside 20 years is total stupidity , unfortunatley our desperation to expand the sport to draw in more TV and corporate monies means we keep making stupid decisions

Spreading rather than ' sateliting '

I'd have been looking at larger RU clubs or smaller football clubs , with the focus on a sustainable Championship club rather than a SL club

Funded by the RFL guaranteed for 6 years , but all out in the open , I and many other Championship fans could happily live with that as long as we saw the RFL coming up with some serious help to the existing clubs as well

So, next Franchise the RFL set up in Leicester with the Tigers, they earmark a large chunk of the extra SKY money to go to Tigers RL to keep them running. This, you say, would be a good thing?
