Thought he did his best with he group of players he had to pick from.
Can't think of who would be better and is also available though.

Smithy was very emotional after the game last night. I think he was as shell shocked as everyone with the last 13 minutes.

It looked like the injury and the 10 minute delay put the frighteners on England because they were then a shadow of the team that they had been up to the point. There were a lot of things going on which ref and assistant missed, but frankly I thought we acted like surrender monkeys when we could have had them.

I think he has been very poor in his choices until this series. Finally in this series he stopped picking players by the clb logo on teh shirt and went withplayers with some potential and talent regardless of who they played for. His inability to get the team to gel for thwe WC would be another big negative. Not sure anyone would have done toomuch more , you can;t make a silk purse out of a sows ear, but I don't think he will be missed!!
