I can only assume you've never had a shed load of ale with him?
I'd agree with the others on here that have suggested he might need some help tho. When he's not lagered up, he comes across as a caring bloke, with all the time in the world for anyone - and he's a brilliant family man by all accounts. He's just no good on his own propping up a free bar.
I met Andy Greg a few years back in the Coogee Bay Hotel - absolutely steaming he was. Sad as that was in itself, there were a bunch of ex Aussie internationals in too (think Blocker Roach might have been one of em?) They were all on the p1ss but didn't even consider 'having a word' with Greg, despite the fact he was making a complete tit of himself. It's just not the culture and that makes it very difficult for someone like him or Bobby.
Hope the big cheeses of world rugby league, who might otherwise just bust him, actually consider all of that and realise that with support, Bobby can be a great lad to have around.
At the same time, he has to realise what he's capable of (his comment would suggest he doesn't always remember). Ultimately, we all have to help ourselves in these situations. We all have our vices (I know I certainly do), but you've got to have some semblence of yourself.
