I was totally amazed at the lack of pre match build up yesterday, in years gone by i have fond memories of Land of Hope & Glory blasting out of the PA system creating a hostile welcome for our visitors. Along with a barrage of fireworks and even a canon in the past, yesterday the best we could manage was a few small fireworks and some crap dance music.

In these games we need to use every advantage we can to upset, put off, distract our visitors, yesterday we blew our chance.

I remember when Dave Furner was over he would often tell me a big draw to the UK was the crowd atmosphere he recals his visits in the green and gold and said the welcome to the pitch was always quite unnerving.

I am going to email the RFL and ask them what happened.

What are everyone else's thoughts or is it just me being over patriotic.

Do you think playing in the day spoiled it a bit? It was the old way but we've got used to evening tests in the past 15 years or so.

It should have been played in the evening, i don't know why but you always seem to get a better atmosphere in an evening game.
