I think both players have there strengths and weaknesses.

He scored a couple of good tries in the WC, one from stand off. I thought he played well myself

no it doesn't i was simply stating that Watmough (if playing loose forward) is a totally different type to what sinfield is!

No where near as good as he's capable of, for whatever reason gleeson has been been low on form for over a year now. he used to have the best step of any english centre, now he doesnt.

gleeson has shown signs of class for wigan since he has signed, particularly against hull kr in the playoffs. his defence has really impressed me since he came to us, i never had him down as a big defender but the defensive work he has done for us has been awesome. id still of had him in the england squad as the opposite centre to shenton, hes performed on the international stage in the past and im sure he could perform again.

Gleeson's decline can be traced back to his last season at Warrington when he started playing closer to the middle of the park rather than out in the centres, almost as a stand-off/loose forward hybrid.

Took away his big advantages, which are one-on-one footwork and sleight of hand.
