Even though getting on the overland is much more comfortable, pretty cheap and not that long a journey. Soon as you mention no tube stop and outside zone 2-3 most of my expat friends are off put. Getting them out there is the hardest thing.

Shebu is the first place I lived when I got off the plane.

I can still remember walking out of Shepherds Bush tube station with my luggage mid afternoon for the first time after flying into Heathrow and looking around at the dog excrement and litter covered streets with Indian blokes selling phone cards at the front of run down looking 'bargain shops' and thinking to myself 'I've had enough already'

Not the nicest place but the street I lived in just off the Uxbridge rd was fantastic....really quiet and clean.
