| I was hoping that Lebanon would beat Scotland today, given that Lebanon do actually have a real rugby league comp of their own and so it would have been good to see them progress, but I think the conditions overwhelmed them for most of the match and they were only able to fight back late on. Still, a 22-10 loss was nothing to be ashamed of. Maybe next year they will make it through!
I was impressed by the ongoing improvement in the Welsh side and a 42-12 win over Ireland was good going given how short a time some of those Welsh lads have been playing at that level. They looked full of enthusiasm for most of the 80 and they are certainly picking up some nifty moves from Iestyn.
The final next weekend should be interesting!

I tipped Wales pre-competition and I can't see any reason to change that now.
Wales, Ireland and Serbia next week.

| Well done Scotland and Wales.
I'm obviously disappointed that Ireland didn't making it through. I hope the Welsh public enjoyed what their team offered up. Ireland started off so well but in the end Wales completley dominated so they deserve their win, it was a really enjoyable match.
Hopefully Ireland can finish up third and some of the new faces can push on, especially the domestic players who will be better off for the experience!

| i think rfl need to have a rethink on the international scene. they either promote these games proper or dont bother at all as todays european nation games today was a joke and embarrasment to rugby league.

I can understand this in terms of venues and attendances, which i defintley believe need a re think but the rugby on show in the Wales vs Ireland game was superb and Scotland + Lebanon did well in the horrific conditions.

| What a mess the Brewery field pitch is going to be in for Wales v Scotland final after the other 2 games have been played on it.Not going to be a good advert on Sky for the neutral spectator.

By neutral do you mean non-rugby league fan? Do you think many non-rugby league fans will watch?

They might have done better had they concentrated on playing rugby rather than trying to take people's heads off and whining at the match officials.
Given that a Scotland side made up primarily of players from Championship and Championship 1 clubs beat a Lebanon side mainly from second tier Australian competitions, what does that say about the relative strengths of the two hemispheres below their elite leagues?
