Ref "I would send you off"
Player "What would you do if I only thought you were a barsteward"?
Ref Nothing, you would only be thinking it"
Player OK, I think you're a Barsteward"

As I said, I am sure someone will be able to name names or simply confirm if this is an urban myth.
