with news ltd to exit RL someone needs to fund the storm and it wont be the game itself.

Depends on how you define "loss". News Ltd, as owners, make up the shortfall just as owners of other clubs such as Manly or Sth's do or Leagues clubs do for many other clubs. It is rumoured Melbourne operate on an expenditure of over $17million. That is more than most clubs, if News dropped them they would simply spend the same as majority of clubs and break even.

but you are right with an extra 5000 fans and much better corporate facilities they are only going to get stronger hopefully.

The new stadium will help the Storm so much, they will be a top drawing team I think from day one.

By the way, if you watch a soccer program in Australia, they talk about THEIR made for soccer stadium and how it shows how far soccer has come in Melbourne and how everyone got being THEIR push for a SOCCER stadium.
