Was ok until Haven's 1st try but since then I've been trying to figure out what the hull Phil Clarke was on about and completely lost concentration on the actual game.

Barrow kick, Whitehaven collect and score.

Phil Clarke want to see if Broadbent (Barrow FB) is onside from kick then if any Barrow player was within the 10.

Why would a Barrow infringement cancel out a Haven score?

Can someone please explain ?

He's probably right technically, that that was the first infringement but suppose you'd play advantage anyway.

Plus, the video ref doesn't give tries on the technical rules, just ask Gareth Carvell.

Clarke actually said i do not see why a Barrow offside would cancel out a Haven score. He said the exact opposite to what you said he did.

Initially, He actually quoted Broadbent by name and asked if he was on side before going on about Barrow being within the 10.
He may have back tracked after the try had been given or at half time or whenever you heard him say that but as I put earlier I completely lost concentration on match trying to suss out what he was on about to notice.

My understanding was that advantage over rules the infringement which is why I struggled to understand what he was on about.

Barrow to slip away now or were they just knackered tonight? They certainly didn't look the same team as they did 6 weeks ago.

Thought Rooney would add a little more than he has as well.

I hope not but if were not careful these kind of things happen when teams lose out in a final, the wheels sometimes come off. Remeber we were the promoted side and when you look at our squad, its thin in all honesty.




I thought he tried to do too much and most the things he did try didnt quite come off for him (40/20s out on the full e.t.c) Cant be easy being in one week then out, then in again.

Although it would give us a strong finish to the season I wouldn't like to see Barrow slip away after how far they have progressed this year.

Think they are just still hungover from the defeat last Sunday.
