No Catalan player threw anything back into the crowd, a couple of players threw them to the side of the pitch, the bottle that went into the crowd was from a steward who kicked it back into the stand... and all this talk about it was the Catalan players who caused it is crap aswell, yeah they shouldnt have reacted to it at all, but there were a load of bottles thrown before any of them reacted.

That's a well reasoned out post and also explains why a couple of people thought it was a Catalan player who through the bottle back, but I think there's enough people saying it was the steward (who got fired and banned from the ground by RW straight away according to most accounts).

I wouldn't be surprised if it was the chavs that stand at the back of the WRE who just go to the game to get drunk and throw up in the stand

Most fans don't need telling how to behave, most of us know that to throw things onto the pitch is unacceptable, those who can't understand this then imo we don't need them involved in the game and if it takes banning a few idiots to get the message out then so beit.

At least I’m trying to do something rather than wait for others to do something. In fact I’ll be emailing my local MP tomorrow and see if he can help get this off the ground with some funding. I’ll also be getting in touch with the sky sports team via my sisters connections.

Still there’s too many who sing hate songs! Ask The Bradford fans about they ginger idiot. He just takes his trouble to away grounds these days after he was banned from Odsal for causing trouble in the away bit. Banning people will only send the trouble elsewhere.

Surely even you can't compare the throwing bottles to singing "hate" (normally very lighthearted) songs surely?

And its up to the clubs to work together to ensure the bans are game wide

Hate songs are not nice to hear and throwing bottles are not nice to see. The only difference is people see bottle throwing as more offensive than hate songs because bottle throwing can result in an injury. Hate songs no one’s getting hurt so its ok by some people.

But the truth is as fans we should want neither in the game and there’s no harm in setting up a campaign for the fans ran by the fans.



The clubs are trying they best by putting out loud speaker messages, adding extra security and CCTV. But its obviously not working as well as it should be.

All I’m doing is trying a harmless approach that will encourage healthier behaviour on match days and reward it. Surely you wouldn’t mind a lollypop for been a model fan Sarah?
